Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of saveresume.com (the "Service"), operated by SaveResume. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

SaveResume provides an online resume and cover letter editor. Creating, editing, and saving resumes and cover letters is free. Exporting your documents as a PDF or Word (DOCX) file requires a SaveResume Pro subscription.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently, or that are inactive for an extended period, with notice where practical.

Your content

You retain ownership of the resume, cover letter, and other content you create using SaveResume. You're solely responsible for the accuracy of the information in your documents — we don't review, verify, or endorse the content you create. Don't use the Service to create content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or impersonates another person.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service; scrape or bulk-extract content or data from the Service; or resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.

Templates and design assets

The resume and cover letter templates, and the SaveResume name and logo, are the property of SaveResume. You're welcome to use the templates to create your own personal documents; you may not redistribute, resell, or repackage the templates themselves.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that using SaveResume will result in job offers or interviews, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaveResume will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
